Arrival

by plane:

  • via Düsseldorf Airport: take the S-Bahn S1/S21 in the direction of Dortmund to the "Dortmund Universität" stop. From here you can reach all buildings of Campus North on foot. You can reach the South Campus by H-Bahn (see below) or by train to "Dortmund (Hauptbahnhof)". From there you can reach the North and South Campus by public transport (see below).
  • via Dortmund Airport: Take the 440 bus from the airport to the "Eichlinghofen H-Bahn" stop. From there you can reach the North and South Campus by H-Bahn (see below).

by public transportation of the VRR:

  • From Dortmund main station to Campus North take the S-Bahn S1/S21 in the direction of Bochum to "Dortmund Universität". From here you can reach all buildings of Campus North on foot. You can reach the South Campus by H-Bahn (see below).
  • from the city center either via "Dortmund Hauptbahnhof" (see above) or by streetcar line U42 to the stop "Barop Parkhaus". Change there to bus line 440 to the stop "Eichlinghofen H-Bahn". From there, take the H-Bahn (see below) to Campus Nord.
  • on campus with the H-Bahn: The H-Bahn connects the Eichlinghofen district (stop "Eichlinghofen H-Bahn"), Campus Süd (stop "Campus Süd"), Campus Nord (stop "Campus Nord" or "Universität S-Bahn") with the Technology Park (stop "Technologiezentrum"). OH 12, 14 + 16 can be reached on foot in a few minutes from the "Campus Nord" and "Technologiezentrum" stops.

by car:

  • from the north (Bremen, Münster): via the A1 to the Kamener Kreuz junction, then take the A2 towards Oberhausen to the Dortmund-Nordwest junction, then take the A45 towards Frankfurt
  • from the north-east (Hanover): take the A2 to the Dortmund-Nordwest junction, then take the A45 towards Frankfurt
  • from the east (Kassel, Paderborn) via the A44, at the Dortmund/Unna junction take the A1 to Westhofener Kreuz, then take the A45 towards Oberhausen
  • from the south (Frankfurt, Siegen): via the A 45
  • from the west (Cologne, Aachen): take the A1 to Westhofener Kreuz, then take the A45 towards Oberhausen

Leave the A45 at exit 6 "Dortmund-Eichlinghofen; Universität". Turn right after the exit ("Universitätsstraße").

  • Follow "Universitätsstraße" past the traffic lights and take the first left turn ("Hauert"). Then turn right at the first set of traffic lights into "Otto-Hahn-Straße". At the next intersection, you will see the buildings OH 12, 14 and 16 on the left-hand side with (a few) parking spaces in the respective backyards.
