Our contribution „Efficient Stream Processing of Scientific Data“, co-authored by Thomas Lindemann, Jonas Kauke, and Jens Teubner, was accepted for presentation/publication at the „Joint Workshop of HardBD and Active 2018“. The workshop is colocated with the well-known ICDE 2018 conference and takes place in Paris, France, this year. Key topics of the workshop are the use of technologies like distribution/parallelization or the exploitation of modern hardware characteristics for “Big Data” applications.
The paper describes „ELPACO“, a distributed execution platform for the analysis of experimental data from the particle physics domain. ELPACO is based on our ARM cluster „Eriador“ and achieves excellent energy and runtime efficiency. ELPACO is part of the C5 project in the Collaborative Research Center SFB 876.
