About

Short CV

I studied computer science with a minor in Latin philology at the University of Münster (Bachelor of Science 2014, Bachelor thesis: Design and Implementation of an Algorithm for Analyzing Latin Meters with a Focus on the Elegiac Distichon) and computer science at TU Dortmund University (Master of Science 2017, Master thesis: Multicore Systems with Dynamic Real-Time Guarantees). Since September 2017, I am a research associate at TU Dortmund University.

From September 2017 until August 2020, I worked as a research associate in the Design Automation for Embedded Systems Group at the Faculty of Computer Science led by Prof. Dr. Jian-Jia Chen, where I was partially funded by Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft as part of the collaborative research center SFB 876, project A3 (Methods for Efficient Resource Utilization in Machine Learning Algorithms), as of January 2019. At the end of 2020, I changed to a half-time position in the Databases and Information Systems Group at the Faculty of Computer Science led by Prof. Dr. Jens Teubner along with a half-time position in the AG Embedded Systems at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology led by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Selma Saidi. My position in the DBIS group is funded by Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft as part of the collaborative research center SFB 876, project A2 (Algorithmic Aspects of Learning Methods in Embedded Systems). Currently, I am pursuing a PhD in computer science under the shared supervision of Prof. Dr. Jens Teubner and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Selma Saidi.

From 15.01.2022 until 14.02.2022, I was a visiting researcher at the Verimag Laboratory in Grenoble, France, funded by a Procope mobility scholarship of the French embassy in Germany.

Besides my research, it is a matter of great importance to me to arouse more girls' and women's interest in computer science and to contribute to making computer-science-related knowledge and competences accessible to a public beyond the academic world.

I am open to offers regarding science slam participations, popular scientific talks, popular scientific articles/columns, and further science communication activities.
